Meet Queen Jovita Ifeoma - The Beauty Queen With A Heart Of Gold

It was an evening of glamour on 24th February 2018 when Miss Jovita Ifeoma, a student of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State emerged winner of the well contested Miss Beauty Plus Nigeria 2018 Online Contest organised by Diva Queens Nigeria Limited.

As congratulatory messages were still pouring in, she and her team of other Beauty Queens paid a visit to an orphanage home in Awka where they gave out envelopes and donated many gift items to the home.

In less than a month, she has paid visits to several institutions, facilities and personalities with the sole aim of improving the life of youths in the state. In addition, she has set up her foundation Queen Jovita Ifeoma Foundation which is adequately staffed to further achieve her vision of educating and empowering the Nigerian youths.

It is common sight to see the poor and less privileged full of smiles with the young diva in their midst.
It is a common knowledge that Beauty Queens all over the country are seen as irresponsible but this one has shown a high level of responsibility, with her name linked to one empowerment project after another. It makes one to wonder, "where is this rare gem, this treasure, coming from?"

Jovita Okoye who hails from Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State is the first daughter in a family of three. Born on the 1st of June, she is 20 years old and was brought up in Warri, Delta State. The diva started from her little age to pursue her modelling career, though her growing up wasn't easy due to obstacles at one point or the other. She lost her mum at the age of three which explains her deep love and commitment to the motherless.

Still, she found every reason why she must live happy. Having completed her secondary school at the great institution of St. Anthony of Padua High School Nkpor Junction, she moved on to study philosophy at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

Looking at her background, one can see that she's just an average young Nigerian woman. So its a bit of a surprise to see such a regular lady in high places trying to extend helping hands to young, unfortunate and misguided ones. That is the queen with a heart of gold.

Meet Our Model Crush On Monday - Favour Ayah

TeeGist had an exclusive interview with our Model Crush On Monday - Here's how it went.... 🤗
1. May we meet you sir?
Reply: I am Ayah Ebimobowie Favor, from Amassoma Bayelsa State. I graduated in 2016, from Niger Delta University where I studied Biological Science, am currently serving in Enugu State.

2. When did you start modeling?

Reply: Basically I started modeling in 2011 with facial modeling and commercials. In 2011, I had my first contest which was Mr royalty Nigeria an online contest of which I emerged as winner. I became a full time model in 2012 in NDU.

3. What inspired you to go into modeling?

Reply: Basically, i am driven by challenges. I wanted to been seen, especially with the kind of life i had while growing up as a kid. I was pretty much the locked up type.

4. How did your family take the News?

Reply: My mum has always given her exceptional support to my decisions, but my dad wasn't in totally in support of the decision of becoming a model, he wanted me to focus more on education and become a medical doctor. But at the long run he had no choice but to come into terms with my decision.

5. What's your Greatest challenge in the modeling industry?

Reply: My greatest challenge has always been  homosexuals. People telling you have to do this before you get a particular job. Trust me, it's a very big challenge, people don't get to play fair, they feel it's a nothing goes for nothing world, where you have to get down to win a contest or probably get a modeling Job.

6: Do you ever feel Intimidated amongst other male models? Especially the more masculine models?

Reply: No, I basically build myself up always, mostly by watching Fashion shows on TV. I have never felt intimidated at any point.

7. What are your current achievements through modeling?

Reply: Well, my greatest achievement are the products I have, in terms of people who I have trained, people I've worked on, these are my greatest achievements.  I also have a company of my own, it's an entertainment company tho but i won't say much on it for now.

8. We heard you were one time this, one that... Please can you give us a full run down of all the Titles you've held tell and exact year you won them?

Reply: I won Mr royalty Nigeria (online Contest) in 2011, Mr Royalty NDU in 2013, Mr Finest Bayelsa in 2014, Mr Bayelsa 2015, currently Nigerian Pentecostal King 2017.

9. Did This career affect your studies? If yes, then how did you pull through?

Reply: Not all...I found a way to balance studies and my career. Many people were actually hoping to hear bad news about my studies, so i knew i had to work really hard to disappoint them all.

10. Would you advise any person to go into modeling? From your experience...

Reply: Sincerely, modeling is great but i'l urge whoever wants to go into modeling to first of all have self growth, self promotion, to find a way to give themselves the platform they need to start the career.

11. Who's your favorite male model?

Reply: Firstly it's Bryan Okwara - because he's a vasatile model. He's one person that has kept his modeling career going even while venturing into other areas of the entertainment industry. Secondly, it's Douglas Omasigho he does only runway tho unlike Bryan who is into all categories of modeling. They are both my icons.

12. What advice do you have for models looking up to you?

Reply: Well my advice to young models is for them to strive to be whoever they want to be. The aim shouldn't be "to become like me" but rather to be themselves.
