Church Elder Butchers Wife In Front Of Their Children In Uyo And Dumps Her Body At A Refuse Dump.
Akwa Ibom state police arrested one Mr Sunday Akpan residing at Eda street Uyo, an elder in Light Of The World Church mission road Uyo, for the murder of his wife Mrs. Martha Akpan and dumping her body at a refuse dump site.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the state police department Mr. DSP Bala Elkena, revealed that the incident happened on 11th October, he explained that Mr. Akpan had a misunderstanding with his wife which led to a fight that day.
The suspect butcherd his wife remains into pieces with a matchet and bagged them up in two sacks, disposed at a dump site at midnight close to the NDLEA office off Nwaniba road, Uyo.
The police spokes person added that the crime was perpetrated in the presence of their three children who later reported the crime to the police and that the suspect has owned up to the crime, investigation is still on going.
