Local Government Chairman Goes Under Cover To Secure Safe Waterways In Bayelsa State


The current caretaker chairman of Brass Local Government Area in Bayelsa State, Hon. Victor Isaiah leads an undercover escort team to secure safe travels along the Brass waterways.

Due to the recent rise in sea pirates attack along the Brass waterways, the caretaker chairman took it upon himself to travel alongside the market women and other passengers in disguise, he led a team of uniformed mobile Police men and marine Police as to escort the local boats traveling from Twon - Brass to Yenagoa and Okpoama.



Reports has it that the Chairman was looking smart and also interacted with passengers and crew of the boat. The passengers expressed their delight in the operation while shouting,
"Chairman nua o (Thank you Chairman)". 
The Council Chairman promised to sustain the operation especially during this festive season so that visitors and indigenes of the Local Government who would want to travel to the LGA can do so without fear.
