A young mum gave birth to the world's fifth "mermaid baby" but lost it few hours later.
Muskura Bibi, 23, gave birth to the baby with Mermaid Syndrome or Sirenomelia, a rare condition which causes deformity.
The baby, whose gender could not be established due to its fused legs, happens to be the second baby born with Sirenomelia condition in India.
Doctors tried all they could but were unable to keep the baby alive as it died four hours after its birth.
