Football Player Beats Referee To Death Over Red Card


Jose Valdemar Hernandez Capetillo, a referee has been confirmed dead after he was attacked by a footballer whom he had given a red card during a football match.

According to reports, Jose Valdemar Hernandez Capetillo lost his battle for life in the wake of spending seven days in a trance like state. He passed on in the early hours of yesterday.

He was surged oblivious to doctor's facility in Xalapa, the capital city of the eastern Mexico State of Veracruz, on December 24 in the wake of being attacked by a player.

Valentin Ramirez, president of professional referees affiliation AMA, said in an announcement
“Jose Valdemar Hernandez Capetillo, a part-time referee, died in the early hours of yesterday morning as a result of an acute traumatic brain injury he suffered during an assault by a player in the Pemex stadium in Xalapa, Veracruz.
