NFF Morns - Former Captain Of Enyimba FC And Kano Pillars Defender "Chinedu Udoji" Is Dead


The whole football organization in Nigeria have been tossed into genuine grieving on Sunday night, February 18, following the untimely demise of Kano Pillars defender Chinedu Udoji. 

The 28-year-old veteran Nigerian Professional Football League player died in  in a deadly car accident while he was coming back to his lodge in Kano. 


Chinedu Udoji played for Kano Pillars on Sunday evening, February 18, against his previous club Enyimba at the Sanni Abacha Stadium, Kofarmata in Kano which finished 1-1. 

After the Nigeria Premier League diversion, Udoji chose to go and spend some time with his former teammates at Enyimba in their lodge. 


He was then involved in an accident while while coming back to his hotel and died on the spot. 

Kano Pillars' spokesman Idris Malikawa confirmed Chinedu Udoji's shocking death on Monday morning, February 19. 
''Yes, I can confirm to you that we have lost Chinedu Udoji, and so unfortunate because he was one of our best players. For now, we are waiting for his death certificate from the hospital". 

Udoji started his football career 12 years ago at FC Abuja before he was signed by former Nigeria Football League champions Enyimba where he won the NPFL titles and furthermore the FA Cup. 

Chinedu Udoji was a veteran Nigerian League footballer considering the years he spent at Enyimba where he captained the Peoples Elephant for 6 years. The player who had likewise played for the Super Eagles locally died leaving a spouse and two children behind.
