Security Forces To Go After Gunmen Who Killed 41 People In Zamfara State On Governor's Order


The Governor of Zamfara and director of the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF), Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has communicated shock over an assault on Birane town in Zurmi, a local government of the state which had left dozen dead.

An announcement by Aminu Ibrahim Gusau, his representative, said the governor has directed all security agencies in the state to as an issue of urgency escalate more endeavors in battling and catching all types of criminal exercises in the state.

The state government additionally repeated its responsibility regarding the assurance of the general population's lives and property and won't mess with it with any individual or gathering of individuals found to have turn in the obnoxious activities.

According to the statement obtained from reports, the governor further said: 
"the issue of insecurity had continued to deflect the meager resources meant for the development of our dear state and that it is seriously retarding the effort of the government". 
Yari re-emphasised the need for all security agencies in the state to redouble effort for addressing the unwanted and ugly acts. 
He said the government and people of Zamfara would remain grateful to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for deployment of more security personnels to the state.
