Two Gets Killed As Rival Cult Groups Engages In A Bloody Fight In Bayelsa State


Two suspected cult members have been killed in a bloody  conflict between two rival groups in some parts of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The conflict, which happened on Monday at Samphino Road, Kpansia and Biogbolo, Yenizue-Gene, all in the Yenagoa Local Government Area, prompted disorder between the two communities. 

In spite of the fact that the purpose behind the battle presently couldn't seem to be built up, a police source said the occurrence was a show of power between two feared cult groups – the Icelanders and the Greenlanders. 
"No arrest have been made. Be that as it may, we have a ton of their members in detention. We believe there won't be any issue unwinding the reason for the conflict and making the necessary arrest. The detained suspects will help examination," he said". 
Our reporter assembled that one of the dead faction individuals was cut to the point of being unrecognizable and the other was shot at short proximity. 

The Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, DSP Asinim Butswat, said the conflict happened around 8pm on Monday. He stated:
"Around 8pm, rival cult groups conflicted in Yenagoa, which prompted the shooting of one Jeremiah Uche, aged 26. Another unidentified man with different machete cuts in different parts of the body, was recuperated at Yenezue-Gene. The deceased ought to be around 20 years of age".
